Talk Through Your Recovery With a TKA Specialist
A 40-minute, one-on-one video consultation with a physical therapist who has spent over a decade helping patients through every phase of knee replacement recovery.
$127
Who is this for?
You've had your surgery, or you're about to. You have questions that don't fit neatly into a Google search or a Facebook group.
Maybe your PT doesn't specialize in knee replacements.
Maybe your insurance ran out of visits.
Maybe you're 8 weeks in and not sure if what you're feeling is normal.
Maybe you don't have access to someone who understands how this recovery actually works.
This session is built for that moment.
What you get
"What happens during the session?"
40 minutes of direct conversation via Google Meet. You share your situation, I help you make sense of it. We cover what's normal, what's not, what to focus on, and what to bring up with your surgical team.
"What can we cover?"
Pain management, stiffness concerns, swelling, range of motion progress, return to activity, sleep, gait, exercise progression, pre-op preparation, and general recovery expectations.
"What this is not"
This is an educational consultation, not physical therapy. I won't diagnose, treat, or establish a clinical relationship. This does not replace your surgeon or treating physical therapist.
"How do I prepare?"
After booking, you'll answer a few short questions about your surgery and current concerns so we can use the full 40 minutes effectively.
Who You'll Be Working With
A clinician who has seen this recovery from every angle, and still does.
I'm Christian Hill, PT, DPT, a physical therapist with over 11 years of specialized experience in total knee replacement recovery.
What makes my perspective different is that I don't just see patients at one point in the process. I evaluate patients:
On the day of surgery at an outpatient surgical center
Treat them through the early weeks when everything feels uncertain
Guide them through the mid-recovery grind when progress slows down
Work with them on the long-term return to the activities that matter to them.
I see the full arc, and I know what each phase actually feels like from the clinical side.
I also wrote the Total Knee Replacement: Comprehensive Recovery Guide, used by patients across four countries as a resource for navigating recovery from discharge through full return to life.
I am a full-time treating clinician. I still do this work every day, with real patients. That's what informs every conversation I have.
11+ Years in Orthopedic Rehab
Thousands of patients through total knee and hip replacement recovery, from post-op day one through return to full activity.
Every Phase of Recovery
From day-of-surgery evaluations through long-term outcomes. Not one snapshot of the process, the entire picture.
Author, TKA Recovery Guide
The comprehensive written recovery resource trusted by patients in four countries and growing.
Still in the Clinic
Not a former clinician. Not a content creator. A practicing physical therapist who treats these patients every single week.
Limited Availability
Because I maintain a full-time clinical caseload, consultation availability is limited to select evenings each week. Sessions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you don't see a time that works, check back as new slots open weekly.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Anyone navigating total knee replacement recovery who wants dedicated time with a specialist. Whether you're preparing for surgery, in the early weeks post-op, months out and frustrated with your progress, or just not sure if what you're experiencing is normal, this session is designed for you.
-
Great, you should. This isn't a replacement for hands-on PT. Think of it as a second opinion or a deeper conversation about the big picture of your recovery that a typical 45-minute clinic visit doesn't always allow for.
-
That's actually one of the most common reasons people book. Whether your insurance ran out, you're between providers, or you don't have access to a PT who specializes in knee replacements, this session gives you a direct line to experienced guidance.
-
Yes. Many of the people I work with are in the UK, Canada, and Australia. Sessions are conducted via video and time slots are displayed in your local time zone.
-
More than you'd think. Pain, swelling, stiffness, range of motion progress, sleep, gait, return to activity, pre-op preparation, exercise concerns, and general recovery expectations. You'll answer a few questions when you book so we can get right into what matters to you.
-
I can discuss exercise principles, general progression, and whether what you're currently doing makes sense for where you are in recovery. I won't prescribe a specific exercise program, as that's the role of your treating PT or provider.
-
No. This is an educational consultation. I won't diagnose, treat, or create a plan of care, and no patient-provider relationship is established. What I can do is help you understand your recovery, give you context for what you're experiencing, and help you know what questions to bring to your surgical team.
-
Full refund with 24 hours notice. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
-
After booking you'll answer a few short questions about your surgery and current concerns. That's it. Come with your questions and I'll handle the rest.
